Teak Burma

The Teak is one of the most popular woods for the outdoors. Its large content of oily resin and its fibre guarantee a long-term duration and stability. Moreover, the teak is immune to the attack of insects and is very resistant against the pervasive and corrosive action of the water. It perfectly stands humidity, temperature variations, weather conditions and saltiness. These features, together with the aesthetical appearance of Teak, make it the best wood for a classy outdoor areas. Its natural colour goes from chocolate brown to red with black striping, but when exposed to light the teak gets uniform with even golden striping. Fiemme Tremila only uses top-quality from Asia. They also cultivate the teak in some areas in Africa and South America, but there it tends to grow less and thinner and the resinous content is less too – for this reason, the African and South American teak is less watertight, less resistant and less durable. On the contrary, the Asian teak enriched with Fiemme Tremila Decking Oil treatment keeps its natural colour over the time and you can clean it easily.

Thermowood Ash

The ash is a tough and elastic wood with a very compact and uniform but light and flexible fibre. For the heat treatment, the wood is processed at high temperatures, up to 220°C, in a supervised oxygen-deprived atmosphere.
The thermo-treatment modifies the chemical structure of the wood essence by causing the deterioration of the most water-reactive (receptive) wood component, reducing the chance of shrinkage, swelling and cracking and guaranteeing a great dimensional stability. Moreover, the duration also improves and become similar to the best tropical woods. For this reason, the product is apt to resist to the harsh or humid climate, has a good resistance against the attack of insects, moulds and fungi. In short, an optimal product for outdoor uses. Enriched with Fiemme Tremila Decking Oil treatment, it keeps its natural colour over the time and you can clean it easily.

Swiss Pine

The Swiss pinewood is typical in the Alps and grows from 1,800 to 2,000 metres of altitude. Thanks to its features, this tree can resist up to glacial temperature like - 40°C without suffering. It grows very slowly and lives about 1,000 years. Thanks to these peculiarities, this wood is particularly apt for the outdoor areas.
In contrast to the larch, the Swiss pine does not produce thorns so you can walk on it barefoot. As its fibres is very thick and resinous, this wood does not produce cracks. Enriched with Fiemme Tremila Decking Oil treatment, it keeps its natural colour over the time and you can clean it easily.
