Contemporary with a Capital C
Designed by Stefano BonapaceVillamontagna, Italy
On Trento Hills, the view sweeps over the solemn glory of the Adige Valley. Stefano Bonapace built his home on two floors, about 400 square meters, where he has included all the thermal insulation and energy-saving solutions of a Class A+ certified building, enhanced and perfected by the biocompatibility features of Fiemme Tremila products.
It was necessary to find a classic, textured, welcoming wood with an antique feel for the interior spaces. Rifugio won me over for its intensity – explained Bonapace –it reminded me of chocolate, for its uneven texture enhanced by hand planing. “I achieved the perfect balance by combining it with a modern design.”
Besides the floors, the same wood used in the kitchen and bathrooms was also used as a coating in the bedroom. The coating and floor blend seamlessly, exuding the material’s strength, warmth and wholesomeness and creating a therapeutic and sensory environment that promotes well-being.
