Nature Villa
Designed by arch. Sergio MeregalliLugano, Swiss
The project – a 250-square-meter villa – has been entrusted to the architect Sergio Meregalli. He decided to use a courageous and discreet approach without indulging in vintage flair but using purely modern and rational shapes. He aimed to provide a discreet elegance to this piece of land on a hill in a secluded valley but accessible and close to well-connected centres. The sight runs from the hills, thick with woods and scattered with meadows, to the villages at the bottom of the valley. This scenario literally becomes part of the house.
Wood is everywhere: used outside, on floors and for the furniture. The white neutral wall light comes to life reflected on Reale, oak in the Boschi di Fiemme collection, used in its unknotted version. Its brushing finish, dove-gray’s fair, almost translucent colour and hues, enhanced by transparent oiling, contribute to the same harmony and tranquillity the house exudes.
The floors, each with its own bathroom, are linked by a simple and refined staircase covered in Reale oak, light like a feather and glowing with reverberations. Each detail aims to harmonise with the wood’s breath, the dazzling green meadows, and the apple trees’ fragrance. All of that, mixed with men’s work, creates a unique dimension of well-being.
