In San Benedetto del Tronto, a sea-view penthouse conceived as an elegant city apartment.
We are in San Benedetto del Tronto, in an eclectic 1930s building that sits right in front of the sea. The building’s architecture showcases its rich Art Deco history, featuring pure white exteriors, arches, and balconies. During its recent renovation, the roof underwent dismantling to pave the way for a penthouse that extends the entire length of the building, enlarging its size.

The main focus of the project was on the living area, which is the most well-lit part of the house. The large windows of the living area and the kitchen create the impression of visually diving into the sea that is right in front. These two rooms are linked via a sliding glass window, which can be used to separate them. The overall aesthetic is maintained by the warm colour scheme – pink furniture, clay walls, yellow kitchen – and mostly the wood floor, which is the leitmotif of every room.
Fior di Nebbia was the perfect choice, Italian walnut wood with a precious finishing: it is enveloped with a light natural glaze provided by the oil in transparency. It seems like a delicate vapour which softens the colours of the Italian walnut wood and gives it a smoother, more polished appearance. The absence of knots also adds to its refined look.
