Young people in the centre

The Superflash Store in Milan is in Torino street, famous for being a popular shopping area. The bank is an open space of 570 mq, a sort of a big square made possible by team-work. "The purpose was to create an incentive for young people to come to bank – explains Albert Bianchi from aMDL architectural studio, the head of the project – we decided to realize the opposite of a traditional bank. The interlocking door control system was removed and replaced with always-open doors. There are no counter or cash desk".
Dominating the scene is the floor chosen in wide, long (almost industrial) boards, from 4 to 5 meters, that emphatizes the width of the spaces. Wood brings warmth in every Superflash store to mark even more the difference with traditional banks, that usually have a more technological imprint.
