In Turin’s city centre, a building site in a building site creates the “nest” for a new family, as a welcoming womb.

We are on the fifth and last floor of an exquisite 1960s building in the centre of Turin amidst elegant 18th—and 19th-century buildings. The penthouse measures 180 square meters and features a spectacular 19-meter by 2-meter terrace that offers views of the sky and the city. Doctor Borrione, a renowned cardiologist and architecture enthusiast, followed precise and personal beauty standards in his project. His main goal was to create a lighting scenario where the light, “dressing” colours and shapes, can be the main furnishing element.

生活的激情I

This ambitious lighting project included more than 200 spotlights in the false ceiling to give the impression of larger spaces. The floor needed to be in tight harmony with the lights to accomplish the work. After almost a year of research, he fell in love at first sight with Respiro by Boschi di Fiemme, an unknotted oak that amazed the demanding owner for its aesthetics and health characteristics.

The hues and texture effect of the saw surface of Respiro are in perfect contrast with the accents of light and shadow created by the unique distribution of the spotlights in groups.
