A renovated old cottage, hill, nature and the calm of the first sun rays after winter in the mountains.
Tenna is a peaceful village, lying on a green hill shaped like a donkey's back, between Caldonazzo and Levico lakes in the eastern part of Trentino. This old cottage, completely renovated in 2018, stands in the fields above the village, overlooking the valley. The location is Maso Roveri.
In Maso Roveri, everything speaks about nature and is in harmony with the surrounding environment of dense forests and peaceful valleys. The structure was not changed. It remained the classic mountain cottage with thick walls and numerous vaulted ceilings. There are also elements coming directly from tradition, such as the olla stove and the "focolar", but are mixed with fresh, modern nuances and minimal furniture.
For the wood floor, which is about 200 square meters in size, and some elements such as the washbasin countertop, the antique oak Fior di Raggio from the Fior di Fiemme collection was chosen—a floor that is both old-fashioned and modern and in harmony with the environment. Old, because of the naturally aged and refined material, enriched by marks of time and lightened up by neutral oiling. Modern, because the light it beams from every knot and vein is intentionally left visible.
