On the rooftops in Milan, an apartment where eyes and heart feel at home.
In Milan’s old town heart, the magnificent ancient palaces stand in succession, tracing the characteristic winding route of Foro Buonaparte, one of the city’s most distinct and exclusive streets, a short stroll from Castello Sforzesco. Here, the solid antique gates cherish history, art and life. Behind one of them, on the two top floors of a prestigious palace, we are greeted by an elegant apartment seamlessly blending the antique surroundings with the elegant contemporary design of spaces and furniture.

At first glance, light permeating throughout the space captures the eye, accentuating the materials, lines and areas. The massive restoration project of both floors was driven by the new owners’ desire to optimise the natural luminosity that the flat’s orientation provides. The project focused on two main aspects: the indoor structure was improved by connecting the spaces on the upper floor and reorganising the bedrooms on the lower floor. Second, the living area was enhanced by expanding the windows overlooking the large terrace, the most attractive feature of the residence.
While the eye wanders on the pureness of light and lines, the warmth of wood conquers the heart. The essence Riflesso of Boschi di Fiemme collection is the leitmotif of every room, terrace included. Thanks to the continuous interaction with light, it becomes the main character, allowing the oak’s hues and the brushing effect’s materiality to pop. This choice shows the will to combine aesthetics with healthiness and sensoriality, core values of Fiemme Tremila floors.
