Scuromanto in Campiglio: living matter for high-altitude architecture

At the heart of the home lies the living area: a bright open space dominated by a freestanding fireplace with a conical body and an open hearth. The focal and functional centerpiece is the sculptural staircase connecting the two levels, highlighting the contrast between materials: the ash steps in Scuromanto and the oak wall cladding, which on one side opens into an orthogonal grid, shaping an integrated storage system.

The sleeping area plays with privacy and transparency: the entrance is screened by smoked glass that suggests rather than reveals the interior. The bed stands free at the center of the room, symmetrical to the architecture; behind it, a discreet passage leads to a walk-in wardrobe lined with oak panels. Scuromanto confidently extends into the bathrooms as well—on the floors and in the furnishings—where it sparks a refined contrast with matte olive green and white walls.

Every element of this high-altitude home was custom-made, crafted with artisanal care in keeping with Italian know-how that unites technique, manual skill and design sensitivity.
