The suspended refuge
Designed by arch. Stefano VivianiViareggio, Italy
On the hills of Viareggio, a place where materials find new life and people new inspirations.
Borgo Metato di Lucca, where there are paths that end in the thick of the woods and you can really enjoy the landscape and the nature. A building that needed to be restructured, a dream that was about to come true. The house demonstrates its nature: a temperament that follows ideals that come from the heart. The light coming from the windows blends with the wood of the floor and the simplicity of the furnishings: it is a country house or a holiday resort, but also a wide concept that has no definitions.
First of all, this house represents me. It also represents my way of working: apart from the house, I have an office, where I receive clients. There, among recyclable materials, rural and modern style and design, everyone can find his own inspiration corner.
An apartment that, starting from the kitchen, tells its history, which is a history of “resurrection”. All is made with recyclable materials, including the precious oak floor, from Boschi di Fiemme collection. Ferro oak wood was a showroom’s floor: after a flood, it was renewed and brought to its original beauty with a deep cleaning action and an intervention with BioPlus® biocompatible treatment.
