Inspirations

An elegant and charming villa, built in a bucolic marvellous place.

On the hill upon Trento, in a villa on two levels (90 sqm each) life is good. The house with its big, airy, spaces is tailor-made for needs and long-life dreams of the residents. Fiemme Tremila’s wood harmonizes the two levels through the stairs and dialoguing with another wood - varnished with strong colours - it highlights even more the naturality of this precious material. This game of contrasts is not limited to the stairs, you can find it practically in every room, where delicate and iridescent shades of wood meet panels and furniture that go from red, to smoky or slate grey, but more often white or very light grey.

Ideas of living

One of the most fascinating aspects of my job - explains the architect – is to establish a strong connection with the client, working with his desires. In this case, I was asked to create a “refuge”: a firmly intimate place, customized upon the harmony and wellness of two people. To reach these goals, the floor played a main role.

Biocompatibility is one of the topics I have studied the most in my career. In my opinion, it perfectly couples with the place we live: the Alps. This connection inevitably passes through the materials we use. After a deep analysis, we opted for Argento. Its gentle nuances inspired the shades of the furniture, which led to a perfect combination of colours.
The Argento oak is softly touched by the light during every stage of the day: the same light that had helped it growing, as this project was still only a dream.
