Mediterranean Well-being

Fior di Te
Inspirations

In South Sardinia, a buen retiro based on biocompatibility becomes a health generator. White rocks, intense green greenery, a place where sea and sun rein: the Mediterranean landscape, a gift from nature. Fitting into this miracle without disturbing its perfection requires great delicacy and civilisation in the best sense of the term.

The ideal place for a holiday is where the greatest desires for well-being come true. There’s no separation between nature and living, outdoors and indoors. Therefore, even the swimming pool is “home”, surrounded by greenery but merged with the dwelling, thanks to the spacious teak decking. The same essence is used for the cosy table under the porch, echoing the grout lines and size of the boards.

Ideas of living

The housing unit, 300 square metres on two floors, is characterised by rationality and an innovative space layout. It features a kitchen, living room, main bedroom, and two bathrooms on the ground floor, and on the first floor, there are three guest rooms, each with its own bathroom and balcony. Its style has no exhibitionism intent: simplicity and well-being are its guidelines. Indoor healthiness, biocompatible materials used as well-being generators, and harmony between environment and human wit: these philosophies passionately entwine and are translated into a purposeful use of wood not only on floors.

Fior di Tè, a precious and elegant Burmese Teak from the Fior di Fiemme collection, had to embrace the whole project. This essence is highly durable and has a complex, iridescent beauty due to its uneven textures and hues going from a slight bleaching to darker, deeper streaks. It has become a crucial element of the design.
