Project for a wood house.

From an environmental perspective, the Ceresio Valley is splendid and rich in vegetation. The house stands on the slope with the best exposure and opens up to the sun and the landscape, entering through large windows. The parallelepiped base, conceived with an X-LAM wood structure and natural materials, is a compact and pure form. It is strongly hollowed out by the openings that divide the entrance, the double-height loggia, and the terrace and characterise its façades.

Ideas of living

The interaction between the white plaster and wood surfaces is a tribute to the vernacular architecture of the surrounding area. Still, unlike in other studio projects, it does not mimic it.

For the floor, the choice fell on an oak from the Boschi di Fiemme collection, the essence Radice. Like wet soil crossed by a thousand thin roots, this oak is somewhere between the brown and dark grey tones of anthracite, evening the shading and enhancing the flames, making it deep and enveloping. Every Fiemme Tremila product was oiled with BioPlus®, and this made no exception. This guarantees naturalness and absolute biocompatibility.
