Extra-large rooms and surfaces for an oversized pattern
American inspiration: boundless spaces that catch the eye, inviting it towards the horizon. That is how to move inside this villa.
The space was minimally divided in a few separate areas to obtain larger rooms. The ceiling height also enhances the spaces, with the scenic balcony leading to the sleeping space upstairs. References to the States can be found in many details: the doorway is a distinct element, with a stoneware facade that stands out from the rest of the building, and the horizontal lines – running through the whole building - are a tribute to Wright’s Prairie Houses. The American dream continues inside, with furniture coming directly from Chicago.
The Nocciolieve chevron covers all walking surfaces of the house - the only exception is the connecting staircase in stoneware. While in the cellar the wood also extends to the walls, to create a 360° wooden embrace, and to transform the environment dedicated to the conservation of fine wines in a temple of wood.
The environmental aspect was one of the pillars of the whole project. In addition to the choice of a natural floor, without paint or chemical elements. Other decisive solutions focusing on the environmental impact are the internal and external double insulation, the solar power plant, the air exchange with Controlled Mechanical Ventilation and the underground pellet boiler. Each design, construction, and aesthetic element, therefore, falls within a unified vision of love for nature and large spaces.
