In Sirolo, Conero Park, a disco from the 1940s, comes back to life with a nature-based project.
Once upon a time in Conero Park, there was an iconic disco, Conchiglia Verde, created in 1948 and which,
in its heyday between the 1960s and 1970s, hosted Italian artists such as Mina, Ornella Vanoni, Lucio Dalla, Gianni Morandi, Patty Pravo, Mike Bongiorno...
“It was a magical place,” said Daniela Bianchi, Bond Girl in ‘Russia with Love’, who spent her youth in Sirolo.
And it is again a magical place, thanks to the project that designed a hotel, restaurant, holistic space, and events location, all in one building and with a common thread: the combination of nature, hospitality and fun. Its name is Casacon, “con” as the initial letters of Conchiglia and Conero, joining in its name the history and nature of this place. It is located in a forest overlooking the Adriatic Sea in the Conero Natural Park.
The construction peculiarity is the use of stone and wood, which are placed according to their natural stratification. The stone in the lower part, as the rock upon which everything rests; wood on the upper part, standing vertically to simulate trunks stretching towards the sky and light.
Inside Casacon, wood is the main character. The floor in the common spaces flows like a wood river, branching out into the rooms. The bed frames are made of wood, and the oak flooring takes on different colours every time, thanks to the Thermowood process. This exclusive thermal process made by Fiemme Tremila gives wood intense colours and deep hues.
Perlepietra, Dolcerivo and Nocciolieve create different shades and atmospheres in every room.
