Vertigo: the floor curves and becomes architecture

News > news > Vertigo: the floor curves and becomes architecture

With Vertigo, wood goes beyond the boundary of flooring and becomes architecture, a surface that bends, rises onto the wall, and shapes a space of calm, wellbeing, and a renewed connection between people and their environment.

Born from the collaboration between Fiemme Tremila and Giulio Iacchetti, Vertigo transforms the wooden plank into a continuous surface that flows from floor to wall, creating an intimate, enveloping space dedicated to wellbeing. A design gesture that moves beyond the traditional concept of boiserie, opening up a new way of experiencing wood in living spaces.

Crafted with the Triplostrato® structure and protected by the natural BioPlus® treatment, Vertigo brings together formal research, manufacturing expertise, and certified indoor health.
The result is a surface that does more than cover, it interacts with both space and people, expressing a more architectural and contemporary dimension of wood.

The project has been showcased at the ADI Design Museum in Milan from March 28 to April 12, 2026, as part of the exhibition NODI. Cultura, impresa e design del legno trentino, before moving to the Fiemme Store Milano during Milan Design Week, from April 20 to 25, 2026.
