Essence
Fuoriserie - BottegaThe company traces its roots back to 1905, when its founder, Eugenio Riva, a woodworker, moved to Brescia to work in a factory. In a few years, he became renowned for his expertise and, within a short time, decided to start his own business. This choice would prove to be successful and involve the next four generations, capable of transforming the enterprise into a joint-stock company. Throughout its 100-year history, there were many accomplishments, but one struggled to become a reality: the creation of “Casa Riva”. The building in the city centre was purchased in the 1930s and hosted a historic toy shop.
The shop is located in a vertical portion of a 15th-century building, a short stroll from the Duomo and Piazza della Loggia. It develops on four spacious and bright floors, each of about 140 square metres. The top floor is reserved for offices. The exhibition of exclusive and sought-after design objects makes the store a high-level boutique with large windows where pieces with a strong aesthetic impact are displayed in rotation.
The chosen wood is an extra white fair oak by Fiemme Tremila, a colour specially made for this project. The saw finish creates an impressive ambience and allows for easy setting changes.
